Apply for the Aberystwyth University Scholarship and Merit Awards

The Aberystwyth University Scholarship and Merit Awards Exams are optional exams for students applying for an undergraduate degree scheme at Aberystwyth. You must be an undergraduate applicant at Aberystwyth to be eligible to sit the exams. 

The exams are held on Tuesday, 3rd February 2026 at your school/college

Please ensure you have completed the below checklist before submitting your application;

  1. You must have obtained permission from your Exams Officer. Their name and e-mail address will be required on the application form.
  2. The application must be completed in one session – it is not possible to save and return to it.
  3. You will need your UCAS Personal Identification Number (or a Personal ID supplied by Aberystwyth University if you did not apply via UCAS) to access the online system.

Closing date for applications is 12pm (UK Time), Friday, 23rd January 2026.

Information for International Students;

  1. Please note that applications to sit the exams outside of the UK are subject to verification of school/college eligibility.
  2. If you are an international student who did not apply via UCAS, please enter the reference number which starts with a D or DE, detailed on your offer letter into the Personal ID field.)
  3. If you applied via Common App you must have accepted your offer to have a reference number for the 'Personal ID' below.

Please note: Due to the nature of the selection processes, Veterinary Science, Veterinary Nursing, and Nursing applicants are not eligible to apply for the Aberystwyth University Scholarship & Merit Award.
